Healthcare that Cares.
In the search for medical care, it is important to consider the quality and safety of care provided. The choice should be made with your doctor's consultation. Our dedicated staff and medical specialists all subscribe to our principles of continuous education and improvement.
Infections which occur in hospital are known as Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs). The most commonly spoken about HCAIs are Methycillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and Clostridium Difficile (C.Difficile). Our Hospital is proud to have one of the lowest infection rates in the area for MRSA. This low number of infections is a reflection of how seriously standards of cleanliness are taken in this Hospital. Of course, it is our aim not to have any infections in the hospital, and to help us move towards our goal, all patients who have planned admissions to the hospital will be screened before they are admitted to see whether they have MRSA. If people are found to be carrying MRSA, they will be treated with a course of antibiotics before they are admitted to hospital.
We ask patients, staff and visitors to use the alcohol hand gel when entering and leaving wards and departments. Good hand hygiene is the most important factor in controlling the spread of infection. Please do not visit the hospital if you are unwell, have experienced flu like symptoms or suffered from diarrhoea and vomiting during the last 48 hours. Staff at New Devbhoomi Hospital are committed to taking infections seriously and keeping patients as safe and healthy as possible. Further information and useful tips on how to prevent infections in hospital are available all over the Hospital.
It is important to us that patients receive excellent medical care in the best possible environment and in surroundings that will promote recovery.
